Nathan Yandell

Busy

We’ve been so busy! Nathan has been enjoying preschool where they’re doing one letter a week. Today he sat down with some letter cookies and was trying to spell words. Very cute!

Nathan also had a great birthday. He loved the bouncy castle birthday party with cupcakes, and he got to celebrate at preschool as well where they made cupcakes as well. In fact the gifts keep coming so he probably thinks he’s going to be getting presents forever!

The boys took a bath together for the first time the other day. We got a bath seat for Little One, and he had a blast. He loves kicking and splashing, much to Nathan’s dismay! Nevertheless they had a good time grinning at each other and passing toys back and forth.

Levi has also been enjoying his solid food experience. He’s up to eating avocado (his favorite), sweet potatoes, apples and pears, carrots and peas (not so fond of those, but it’s probably a texture thing as I just mash food with a fork), and oatmeal. Still no teeth!

Levi’s 6 month appointment went well, he’s had a major growth spurt and jumped from 50% to 75% in all measurements. I knew he was getting big, but geez! I believe he’s 26″ long and 17, almost 18 pouinds. Everything looked great and he’s such a flirt! Everyone loves his smile, which just lights up his whole body.

Days at home are much easier now as Levi can sit up (we prop a boppy behind him because he still tumbles backwards), so sometimes we’re all sitting on the floor together doing various activities. It’s fun! Nathan tries to pick Levi up which is also funny as Levi is too heavy, but they do sit together and that’s very cute, of course.

With preschool and weekends with Daddy, the days are just flying by. Looking forward to Halloween where Boo will be dressed like Indiana Jones, Levi like a pumpkin, and Mama and Daddy like whatever we can scrounge up. Then on to Turkey Day and Christmas. Whew. Busy!
